We are pleased to have John Musselman leading two morning sessions for us on the topic of Holy Spirit and Spritual Gifts.
John is the Founder and President of the Jackson Institute, which is based in Atlanta, Georgia.
Born in Griffin, Georgia, he graduated from the University of Alabama with a B.S. in Mathematics in 1972. John received his M.Div. from Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi, and the D.Min. from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. Prior to his founding the Institute in 1991, he served on the staffs of the Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Evangelism Explosion International, and Perimeter Church in Atlanta.
John is the author of Youth Evangelism Explosion, Classic Discipleship, and The Holy Spirit and His Gifts. He has also edited three classic Christian works, including The Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan, The Training of the Twelve by A.B. Bruce, and Man's Chief End by Thomas Watson.

It's All About Him

The Rev. Lynn Downing served thirty-seven years as the pastor of the Lake Osborne Presbyterian Church in Lake Worth, Florida before accepting a call to serve with "Embers to a Flame," a church revitalization ministry of Briarwood Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Birmingham. Born in French Camp, Mississippi, Lynn graduated from Belhaven College and attended Columbia Seminary in Atlanta for one year before transferring to Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson where he earned his Master of Divinity Degree. Rev. Downing has served on several regional and national committees in the Presbyterian Church in America, including both home and foreign missions ministries. He has ministered to missionaries on fields in South America, Asia, and Europe. He speaks nationally and internationally with the "Embers to a Flame" ministry.
